1958 Deere 320 Runs Rough

From the archives, I see other people have had similar problems. After about 5 minutes of work, the 320 starts to run rough. It has always been hard on plugs, but would run. this problem has just started. I read that the two lung engines tend to run cold, and so I got a thermostat. The question is WHERE DOES IT GO? I don"t want to tear into things I don"t have to.
Thanks for any help!

The 320 doesn't have a thermostat,the water
circulates by it's self when it warms up.They call it (thermosyphon),not sure of the spelling.

Acting up after 5 minutes point's to a couple possibilities. It's either running out of gas or out of spark. Clean the sediment bowl screen & the screen in the fuel line fitting on the back of the carb. Verify a good fuel stream first. A failing condensor or coil can cause a weak spark and rough running after warming up also.
