1958 Ford 641 Hydraulic problem

I have a 1958 Ford 641. I used it with my finishing mower about three months ago and everything worked great. I went out and started the tractor today and I have no hydraulics. I opened the primer port on the pump and have fluid there but no pressure. Any of you guys seen a pump go out just sitting for a few months?

Mr. Hayes, I was wondering if you ever found an answer to your question or a web site with 641 hydraulic information?

I just got my first ford tractor and have allot questions. Thanks!

David,
You happened upon one of the best places for answers and experts on Fords on the web!

Welcome to the forum (unofficial welcoming committee when UD doesn't beat me to it!)
Try starting a new thread on your questions so we don't get Mr. Basdens all muddied up.

Also try searching back through older posts, you would surprised at the plethora of information these masterminds have here. It is always time well spent.

I hear you Crazy, I think I've been away to long. This is my first tractor with hydraulics and has me a little confused but I did just spend some time digging through the archives.

I just realized that I can use the CNH 134D for the Transmission, Hydraulics and Differential. Got that figured out and think I have an idea about flushing the sumps while I'm at it. Just not sure about bleeding the hydraulics yet and sort of hesitant to do anything stupid.

I use to just play with tractors but have been away for awhile due to a divorce and just getting by. Here's my old allis chalmers g,

...now I've got a 641 that's been mistreated but still running strong. So far it's done everything I've asked of it, but I really need to get some maintenance done to her. I've had it for a weekend and I noticed that the box blade drops after about 4 hours.

I'm diggin' though the archives, but please pardon me for slingin' some redundant questions out from time to time.

By the way, thanks for the welcome. I've really missed this place!

That is not a problem, rather, "thems bragging rights, boy!"

"noticed that the box blade drops after about 4 hours."
