1958 Jim Dandy Tractor - need help

Well my buddy managed to get my 58 Dandy running. Supposed to be a 9hp Briggs in it. Apparently the float is cracked and fuel is dumping back. Not sure where or if u can get a new float for it. Anyone able to point me in the right direction for something that will work ?

I would start by getting any and all numbers off the engine. There should be on the fan housing area numbers that will give a parts man info for parts etc. Next I would pull the carb off open it up pull the float out and take the float and the carb to a lawn mower place and see if they can find the correct float and or one that will work in its place. BTDT many times over the years with many things

I've tried that before and it did not work due to making the float heavier

I have had success on small holes, the biggest problem was the air would try to blow the hole back open as the air inside heated. Dab and wipe to keep a thin layer. When you have nothin to lose.....

I have found that JB Weld made for gas will work but nothing works if the float is dented or crushed

Yeah, he said he soldered it already but hasn't put it in yet in the event someone knew where to get another. Thanks for the help fellas.
