My all original D14 is in need of an overhaul soon. I haven't done any specific compression tests yet, but that will come. It is low on power, burns a good amount of oil, can be hard to start, misses when under a load, a few other things. This tractor has been the best tractor I have ever owned and I think 60+ years of reliable service is about as good as it gets.
I am planning on doing most of the overhaul myself and was curious what rebuild kits to use/stay away from? Any tips and recommendations along the way would be great as well. I plan on pulling the tractor into the shop over winter and getting started.
