I have a 600 and just did a google search on
computer. Ask for wiring diagram for your 600
and you can find about all you need to know.

That tractor was a 6 volt positive ground system from the factory, unless it's a diesel, in which case it was a 12 volt system, but I can't remember off the top of my head whether the diesel 12 volt system was originally positive or negative ground. Both the gas 6 volt system and the diesel 12 volt system had a generator and an external voltage regulator.

Many of them, gas and diesel, have been converted to 12 volt alternators with negative ground over the years.

Is yours gas or diesel? Is it stock with the generator and external VR, or has it been converted to an alternator? If converted does it have a 1 wire alternator or a 3 wire alternator? Does it have an ammeter or a voltage meter, or just a charge waning light?

The answers will help us provide you the proper wiring diagram.
