1962 ford 600, No Throttle

I recently help my dad put a new head gasket on his old tractor, But now it won't throttle up it idle fine, but when moving the lever (giving it gas) nothing happens the governor linkage seems to be working any suggestions

Check the linkage between the governor and the carburetor. Sounds like it's binding somewhere.

Try disconnecting the air cleaner from the carburetor. There might be a restriction (e.g. mouse nest) in the air filter.
