I pulled the access cover to replace the pressure sensor wire in the select o speed trans. The wire was laying in the oil sump not hooked to anything. Problem is I cant find where the sensor is. Does anyone have a picture of where its mounted and what it looks like? Thanks

In this photo you can see the pressure switch atop the 'output shaft' at the right of the picture. Not gonna lie, it's difficult to reach thru the side cover. Probably why yours was laying in the oil.

Yes!! It's one of those gota hold your tongue out just right jobs!! It definitely
is a doable job through the inspection hole just a pain in the butt! I have done it
several times and patience is the key!

What am I missing?

My 64 SOS has no pressure lamp.

Did they delete it between 63 and 64?

FWIW, my 66 three cylinder 4000, since sold, did.

Dean, my 64 4000 that I just drug home has one. In fact all my SOS's have one, including my 65 5000. I know they dropped the lube pressure light in the later years but don't know when that was.
