I have a 1963 Ford 4000 4 cyl. diesel with SOS trans. What fluids do I use in the Transmission, rear-end and for hydra.? Also does any of these have a filter?

Most of us here are using any good UTF, Hytrans or Transdraulic oil that meets Ford 134D specs (will say 134 right on the jug) in all the boxes on the tractor - tranny, hyds, rear end and PS if you have it. One oil to keep on hand for topping off things as they need it.

Power steering originally called for Type-A automatic transmission oil. Type "A" is what evolved into Dextron, and that will work fine in your power steering pump. Once upon a time 50-60 years ago, GM autos mostly took "A" oil, and Fords mostly took "F" oil in their transmissions.
Some transmissions are finicky, but your power steering systems isn't.

SOS trans originally called for Ford Universal M2C41. Just about any modern combo trans/hydraulic oil will meet the specs - just read the label.

Differential case - EP80 or EP90 SAE gear oil, GL5 rated.

Hydraulic oil - originally called for Ford M2C41 or equiv. If used below temps of 10 degrees F, mix 50/50 with kerosene. Just about any 10W or 20W hydraulic oil will work - much depends on what temps you are working in. You can also use the same combo-oil you use in the trans and that will give better wear protection.

SOS trans and the power steering pump have filters. If you've got the Ford hydraulic "Power-Package", it takes two external filters.
