1965-67 Ford 2000, vs. 1969 model

I just bought a Ford Operator's Manual on eBay, which "covers the 2000, 2110, 3000, 4000, 4110, and 5000 series tractors manufactured and sold in 1965, 1966 and 1967; equipped with either gas or diesel engines."

My tractor is a '69 2000 (B1022A, C230652), 3-cyl, gasoline. Will this manual be mostly right for my tractor? What changes, if any, were made between '67 and '69?

I can't think of a whole lot off the top of my head that would be different in the manuals. There may have been a few different features over the years and possibly transmission options, but nothing major. I wouldn't give it any more thought really......

I agree with ROd.. besides.. that manual is a little 'fluffy' for an owners manual. I picked up one just because.. ..It does have some usefull info.. but keep in mind they are using that manual to try to cover 6 different tractors... each of those tractors could have a manual that size and still not be 'complete'.

Anyting that multi-owners manual lacks.. a good service manual will make up for..

I have a 1967 5000 Diesel and I know that in or about April, 1968 these things were changed:
Increased engine size from 233 to 256 cu. in.
Changed power steering system completely.
Changed PTO brake.

Did you go look at my 5000 and 861 when you were at my place? Surely you didn't drive that far and not go look under the barn, right?

I didn't feel comfortable 'snooping' around on another man's property when you weren't there. I know your family was there.. but still. I'm old fashoned. I did 'see' your 861 from a distance though.
