Six cylinder 240 CI. She failed me today on the road. Engine lost spark instantly. Rolled to a stop. I cranked it for about a minute and she barked back to life. Got home and looked it over and the only thing I can see marginal is the points looked pretty rough. I'm gonna order an electronic ignition for it. I put a pertronix in my Ford tractor and that thing jumped to life on the first compression so hoping it takes care of the points problem here.

Those are great old trucks, hope you get it back going for you. I had a 63 f100 with a straight six and three speed on the column, don't know if it was same size six as yours but it was a pretty bullet proof little engine. At least you could work on most repairs and maintainance yourself.

Yes, easy to work on and simple. I had to get a 3 ohm coil along with the electronic ignition and it barked to life. Runs good.
I'm considering putting $ in it for a front disc brake setup so it will stop. It goes great but the stops have to be calculated! It'll cost a little over a thousand to do it but the truck is solid and is fun to drive.
