My 4020 is in my shop getting worked on , changing rod and main bearings and new rear seal and disconnect clutch for power shift transmission. The engine was rebuilt about 1980 in our shop and just a chore tractor now, but I was thinking I should have the injection pump rebuilt cause it was last done when the engine was overhauled so 45 years ago. Whats your thoughts while its in the shop?

If it works don't fix it

How critical is it that this tractor is reliable every time it needs to be used? Or in others words is there a backup machine that can easily be used in its place that will not interrupt other operations? If so wait and do the IJP work on it when there is a problem. If you feel reliability is key for this tractor do it now.
