1968 4020 bilingual tachometer

Why would a 1968 4020 that has been in the states its entire life have a bilingual tachometer showing 4900 hours? Owner has all original paperwork, and says the tachometer is original to the tractor. I have read that 1968 was during a transition period for the tachometers and it may be that way from the factory. TIA

Doubt it, it was discussed here before, I remember helping Dad replace our tach on our 1968 4020 in the 1980's and the replacement was bilingual. The original was not and had the white, green, and red area like the replacements do now.
