1979 chvy c20 springs

I got a bad leaf spring on my c20 and I was wondering if 1-ton leaf springs will fit? Thanks

They should fit. The difference is the one ton has helpers, and a ninth thick leaf at the bottom. You can leave the one ton leafs all in place and have a little more capacity. I used the 8 leafs the other way around and put 3/4 ton springs on my one ton, and kept the thick leaf and the helper leaf. New U bolts will make it easier, and the center bolt that holds the leafs together rusts out, it should be replaced.
