This tractor is being auctioned near me, and described as 1980 6600, was curious of the model #DW314C, couldn't find anything, about "W". Engine valve cover has "UK" sticker.

DW314C is a 540 industrial with an 8-
speedand 540 independent PTO, vertical
exhaust, and 201 diesel 3-cylinder engine.
A good tractor, but definitely not a 6600.

The sticker number, DW314C, says that it is a 540 as Fordfarmer said, with independent PTO and an 8 speed transmission. The Unit number, 0E27B, says that it was made on May 27, 1980, during the day shift. The C at the beginning of the Tractor Number (Serial Number) says that it was made at the assembly plant in the US, so I'm not sure what the UK sticker is about.

It is a good tractor, but the 6600 is in a different league in terms of hp and capability.

The 540 has the 201 ci 3 cylinder engine and the 660 has the 256 ci 4 cylinder engine that puts out about 20 more hp.

1965 and up engines were ALL built in Basildon, then some were shipped to the US for installation into US units. That is why the engine build date is usually about 30 days prior to the final assembly date.
