1300$ for a runner with tires holding some at is a good price!

No go get an owners, parts, and service manual, a Napa 1010 or
from c3 oil filter, and change her oil, coolant, and trans fluid.
Check belts and hoses, clean and service the oil bath air filter
element.

Clean electrical connections, service steering box, grease
points, etc. And then go get to work!

PS we love pictures!

yukon.......per yer description, thatza $2000 8N in Washington .......feel better? Dell

P.S......squander $25 (cheap) fer I&T FO-4 manual; our host YesterdaysTractors sell'em and surprizingly enuff, most needed parts (unless yer gonna make 'er a trailer Queen)

Prices around here have been very soft. I had a '52 8N up for consignment auction in November. Solid, strong and descent metal and tires. Could not get $1200. I brought it home.
A nicely painted and running 8N with new rubber went for $1400.
A nice 2N with a hydraulic tap for remotes went for $1300.
A friend bought a set of spanking new tires for an H Farmall for $1400 and got a very nice tractor attached to them.

Congrats on the new tractor! Good deal at that price.
First thing I would do if you are in a cold climate is
check the fluids for water and replace them if necessary.
Also test and/or replace the antifreeze.
Nothing will ruin your day worse than spending that
money and having it freeze up and break the cast iron!
Gives you something to do while waiting on the manuals. :)

Good tractor at an excellent price. Congrats!

Yeah, but he's got other equipment so he doesn't have to over use or do insane stuff with the 9N.

Isn't he the one that also has a small dozer and a small excavator?

yes..also several tractors..large track hoe..cat
blade..son small hoe..brother jd..they have been
there 75yrs..i see all kinds of stuff in the
background..otto pulled a hitnmiss generator out
and a old man neighbor got it running..i think on
aerial shots they edit out all kinds of stuff
sitting around..
