1st reduction noise

38 D--We were sure the noise was coming from the right side reduction bearing. Replaced both bearings still have howl as soon as any the least amount of strain is applied. Like now, jacked up, put in gear, engage clutch all is quite, as soon as you apply the brake the howl comes in, same as anytime the tractor was moving in gear.
Thought maybe gear howl, bought can of STP and with it in gear and brake dragging(howling)poured stp on trans driving and driven gear, also on the reduction and pulley gear. And absolutely no change in sound.
Question, could this be coming from the right hand rear end bearing and transmitting the sound to the reduction gear area? The sound is the stroungest right at the 1st reduction area. Your thoughts.!! Bad new bearing?????????
PS-both bearings were replaced with SKF bearings and packed a little with grease.
Thanks for any help guys, hate the thought of redoing but so have new Hyatt for rear end if you all think that is it.

If you try the same test with it jacked up, but wheel running in reverse, is the noise the same? Noise from gear wear is common but mostly on a forward pull, when backing or going downhill the noise goes away. Might be a quick and easy check.
