2-105 Gear Reduction Starter

Looks like the starter in my 2-105 is getting pretty tired. Has anyone ever used an aftermarket gear reduction starter? Doesn't look like YT has any but there are a bunch on eBay and they look like a Delco 28MT knockoff. Delco says the 28MT is good for up to a 6.5 liter engine, doesn't say if it's Diesel or not.
Thanks

Okay thanks. I want to install a new battery too. Would these starters draw enough less amps to run off an 850 CCA battery?

I should also add that good, clean, solid connections and cables are almost as important. Dirty, oily, and frayed cables and connectors are tools of the devil.

Go with the gear reduction maple springs farm starter, Amazon doesn't support your farm economy.

I put a Maple Springs starter in my 1750 and it is amazingly better than the stock. Of course I had to track down the faulty ground cable that caused the problem in the first place. Highly recommended

Most farmers I know would use the $$ saved on the starter to invest back into their own farm, especially these days. To each their own.

However I would like to see a side by side teardown of a Maple Springs and an Amazon starter. Mine looked exactly like the Maple Springs. I would be surprised if there's a lick of difference.
