2 stage clutch?

Have a friend with an industrial 2000 and a 2 stage clutch which is failing. After splitting the tractor, how difficult is it to replace this clutch? Sorry don't know the year but has a 4 cyl gas engine.

Split mine, that was the hard part. Hauled the clutch the local FNH dealer, charged me one hour of labor to set it up and I was on my way. Even lent me the spline tool.

Clutch fingers were shot (bent) had to replace those, and then new clutch plates. Didnt redo the flywheel, looked good.

Changing the two stage clutch is really no different than changing a single clutch because it is set up at the factory.

While he's in there he should change the input shaft seal on the transmission. It does not cost much and is good insurance.

As long as you have a good manual to bring you through it you should be fine. I split my first tractor and it went well. Step by step instructions are worth gold. Don't hesitate to do it. Rick
