When using a 2-way with a 140, what keeps the unused up....

If it's the old Super A style plow, there's a latching system that holds the unused bottom up. You flip the latch on the plow you want to lower, as you lower it.

If it's the newer Fast Hitch style plow, it just rocks side-to-side.
