200 hydro seal

Geez a few of these coming up. I got the new seal but it will not go over the shaft without everting the seal outward and taking the spring off. I lubed it with grease good too. After a few tries a was able to use a small screwdriver and kind of tease it on. My question is this was a NAPA seal should I try an OEM one to see if it fits better and do they go on that hard?? There is a small chance I buggered the seal as I ''handled'' it alot. I could get a new one from NAPA and from this experience could get it on with less effort it think.
Thanks
Clint

Clint, I had the manual in front of me while I was eating dinner. Seems the cross reference indicates the Farmall seal is also equivalent to part #471466 for National or a Timkin seal.

That is .625 ID
1.128 OD
.25 wide

I have crossed referenced every seal on my 230 restoration and have had good luck that everyone one of them was exact (knock on wood). Sure saves a bunch over the IHC prices.

Let me know.

That seal seemed to fit as it should. Put it back together soon.
