2000 ford ofset

I have A 2000 ford ofset with sr# 74609. THE SR# in my book don't go that high. Can someone what year I have Thanks Ivan,

38931 was the starting # for 64 for the 000 models.

does your trans have a normal model id code for an offset?. or is it a repalcement trans case? or a swap?

I know some 4 cyl models were made after the 3 cyl 65+ models were out. but i don't know how many, when, what.. etc.

There was an inquiry about an offset a few months ago and the serial # was 74596.DustinNC said there was evidence that the offset was made into 1966. He and Tony Jacobs had spoken about it. Those two people would be knowledgeable on the subject if they don't chime in I have addresses for both. Apparently (My opinion) there was not a replacement in the new line for the offsets so they continued to produce them.

My ofset appears to be original. I found three marks or numbers on the trans. casting. They are as follows:
10 6
21111
74609

I don't think that they "continued" to make them, but rather that they made special runs of them a few times when the demand called for it. I haven't searched for the thread, but I seem to remember someone (maybe Tony) saying that the last run that he had any documentation on was in 1967.

Seems to Me that "Making more runs" of a product would be the very definition on "Continuing to Make them".

model id sure appears correct.

ag machine post 63 offset chassis, 4spd and pto.. etc..

i agree. i remember tony talking baout 'late' runs post 65 of the 4cyls as well. i don't remember the models produced.. but as we know.. ford ran all the models togehrter under the same sn when thy did things..e tc.

so very well could be a late unit from a post run.

Clean more where it says 10 6 there may be more or the numbers you found may be a little different. Is there a G after the 21111?
