I have a pto shaft out of a 2000. I have a 3910 with a bent pto shaft. Can I use the 2000 shaft in the 3910. They are both 8 speed trans.

I don't think so. The 2000 has either live or non-live PTO while the 3910 has independent PTO. According to the parts drawings, the PTO shaft on the 2000 is 29.46" long and the shaft on the 3910 is 30.64" long.

Plus, if you look at the parts drawings, the forward ends of the shafts are completely different. On the 2000 the splines at the coupling go all of the way to the end of the shaft:

And on the 3910 there is a smaller diameter smooth section on the end of the shaft that rides inside the PTO brake:

Thanks guys. I was thinking they were very different. I have not pulled the one out of the 3910. This is my first one with the new rear ends. Bought it in the fall and going through it this winter. Getting ready for spring. Thanks again. This board is a wealth of info. LHud
