2000 series ford tractor

i have a ford tractor to pick up i think it is a 2000 series 3 cyl gas engine it has duel rear wheeles and a mid mt sickle mower that runs of front mt pump.it was a penna.state highway mower.what woud think this weighs? tires not loaded and no weights.thank for any help.

figure close to 4000#. tractor alone is near 3.. mower near 5 and extra rears near 250 each..

a 16' car hauler/ 7k equipment ( not landscape ) trailer with brakes and a half ton truck are the minimums I'd move it with. figure 1700-2000# for the trailer net weight leaving 5000# or so payload.. which fits nicely with your intended load.

dual rears means it might not fit on most trailers with sides on them. and the mower will also mean it could be extra wide. so you might need a trailer with no sides so the extra wide stuff can get on it. sounds like a low clearance mowing tractor or an "su" model. some of those were actually 4000 engines so let us know what you really have. good luck.. i have pictures and numbers but i can not find them now.the tractor is snowed in at cabin. it looks like the tractor some one has posted a couple posts down it has a canopy on it that says 2000 series i am just looking for ruff idea of what it may weigh.i know the duel wheels means no fenders on trailer. thanks for help.

To make sure the duals will fit, if you're looking to rent a trailer, tell the rental place you need a "deck over" trailer. That means that the deck of the trailer is over top of the fenders. If you just tell them you want a flat bed with no sides, the fenders will probably still stick up on either side of the deck and the space between the fenders would bee too narrow for the dual wheels.

Could the model number be B1223C instead of BL223C? If it is B1223C it would be a 2000 series with a highway chassis, diesel engine, Live 540 PTO and an 8 speed transmission. If the second character is an L, then someone else needs to jump in since I don't see an L in that position as being a valid choice.

Tractor number (Serial Number) C514211 should be a late 1976 tractor. The Unit No. 6L01B is November 1st, 1976, day shift for final assembly of the tractor, which agrees with the serial number as a late '76.

The 3 cylinder 2000 was made form 1965 though 1975, so it being a late 1976, most likely it's a 2600, which were made form 1976 through 1981.

According to external_link, the 2000 with a diesel engine weighed between 3800 and 4100 lbs, depending on which transmission and PTO options it had. The 2600 weighed a bit less, around 3475 lbs. SouNduy's estimate of 250 more each for the extra rear wheels and tires sounds about right, and I don't have any experience with a mid mount sickle bar, so his estimate of 500 lbs souNds good to me. :D So the overall weight might be as high as 5000 lbs, but more likely between 4000 and 4500.
