I bought a ford 2000 sos today that didnt run. It came with all new points, condensor, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Also the carburetor as rebuilt. It also has a
one wire altrnator. Really the only reason it wouldnt run was the points would never open. They were just way out or adjustment. It runs and drives great. Its a
little rough but I paid 700 for it. I got a manual for it but the manual is for a newer 3 cyl version. This is the older 4 cyl version. It does need a new pto
cable. Anybody know where to buy one and how hard is it to replace
 
SOS cables are not available new that I know of. I've heard a rumor of a company (possibly in the U.K.?) making them, but haven't been able to confirm that yet. Plan on hunting down a used one... check parts yards, placd a parts wanted ad on this site, join a Select-O-Speed page and ask there...
You also NEED the correct manual to do the R&R and adjustment on those cables.
