2010 again!

This tractor had a bumper to bumper restoration in 2014. JD loader with 2 heads, Original JD cab with heat and air, alternator and like I said earlier, complete new engine at the time. Everything works as it should. Late model row crop tractor with new tires and wheels.

I'm really leaning toward buying this outfit as I need someting to push snow out of the yard this winter. Owner wants $7500....

Could I get your reaction please?

JD 2010 didn't have factory cab that I remember. Can you post some photo's of this tractor/FEL/cab? I'll ask again does this tractor have a hyd pump operated from front of tractor engine crankshaft?

My neighbor had a 2010 with a loader. It was a nice tractor when it was above 50 degrees so it would start....when it would stay in gear....when the hydraulics worked....when the PTO worked....when it didnt burn oil....and on and on and on

That's definitely a JD 2010 rowcrop tractor.. I've never seen that much rear wheel weights on a 2010. The cab is aftermarket. The loader is a model 175 designed for later model JD utility tractors. If picking up heavy loads I'd be concerned about loader frame attached so far forward on tractor BUT for snow removal it will probably be ok.

Picking up 1500# load on frt end loader & clutch housing remaining in one piece may be a different story. Shown in photo below is how JD engineers thought loader should be attached to a 2010 farm tractor(frt end to rear axle housings) not in front of clutch housing

Both decals look like 2010 to me.

Some day that loader will break that tractor in two at the clutch housing.. The loader is not mounted onto that tractor correctly...

Ive heard said about the 2010: If you got a good one you couldnt break it and if you got a bad one you couldnt fix it.

I have a gas 2010 narrow front. Its a handy little barn yard tractor: starts easy, short coupled, good power steering, turns on a dime. Like it for maneuvering stuff in and out of the sheds.

The cab on the one you are considering sure looks to be nicely done. Ive never seen one that fit a 2010 that well. Given the age of a 2010 and its well known issues my opinion is keep looking.

Dunno WHY an IH guy would be so determined to buy a tractor that is considered even by DEERE fans to be DEERE's worst attempt at a tractor, not to mention one that's been heavily modified and overworked/ overloaded beyond it's designers' worst nightmares?

That being said I have operated and worked on several over the years and would LOVE to have one as a collector tractor, but not as my primary snow removal with that loader awkwardly hung only on those little (optional at that) frame rails
! YAMMV!

I am not DETERMINED to buy a John Deere! I live way out here in the great west and I'm weighing my options on AVIALABLE tractors on the market. Winter will be upon us before ya know it and I don't wanna be trapped in my own yard because of the large snow drifts we get here.

I better shut up, as I (a DEERE guy) am considering buying a 2390 CASE to use with a front-mount snowblower.

In my situation it is because the big 'ol CASE is available for about 1/5 of what a DEERE of similar size and age would cost.

But, GOSH, I dunno, CASE, not sure I can do it!!!

dad bought a 2010 diesel in say around 63 64 row crop with a 2 bottom roll over jd plow a 10 ft 3pth hitch disk at time lived in northwest colo.. also came with a jd #52 hay stacker
at he time we were putting up are hay with 230 ih doing the mowing with a #5 jd raking all the hay with a A/C pto driven side delivery rake the 52 hay stacker was jd answer to the f11 farmhand loader stacker the 52 had self leveling hy control came with 12 ft basket and hay grapple to feed with in the winter.. you say all you want about the 2010 this tractor was a work horse for us when we moved to ky in 76 it came with us used in tobacco planted 1000 acre corn and soybeans with a 6 row ih clyco planter use it to load out silage in the winter and that extra weight with the loader it has on it could be a problem seem we had a 7 ft bush hog on are dad got little rough with it crack the transmission housing, main problem we had was when using hyd jd used a screen instead of a filter you have to drain all the hy fluid to clean it ever tractor i ever been around has problem i work on lot different brands it can be a 250k one that fails the first day or a 500 dollar one
