Hello I have a 2010 gas shuttle shift, tractor loader backhoe , I can run the backhoe for hours and it won't get hot , if I use the loader for pushing or driveing a distance it will get hot , stop it will cool down , I pulled the grill and radiator gaurd off to see if the radiator was pluged it was clean , I am thinking that I will have the radiator cooked out, My ?? is the 2010 has a different sleeve set up in the engine , could the overheating problem be something other then a pugged radiator , Thanks Bryan

Check the thermostat by putting it in a pan of water heat it with a candy thermometer in it to see if it opens at the temperature it is marked for or not. Then if not the thermostat it could have a bad impeller in the water pump or blockage in the rad or block.

An infrared thermometer that reads out the temp of whatever you point it at is a very useful tool for troubleshooting cooling problems.

Unless you are really babying it when running the backhoe (I run WOT when using a backhoe), the only difference I can think of would be some kind of trans cooler running through the radiator causing excessive heat. Maybe an external trans cooler would help in this scenario.
