I just threw out a pile of papers from 2017. I happened to see that corn was selling right at the same price it's bringing right now. I didn't look any further.

Once upon a time I believed that supply and demand controlled the price, but now, with a few conglomerates buying up the grain, I wouldn't put it past them to jointly fix the prices.

Naturally the price of farm equipment, fertilizer and seed was also the same____. Some years ago a farmer won the state lottery, when asked his plans, he said "I'll keep farming till it's all gone.

According to the news reports on TV about rising food prices one of the reasons is because of rising production costs for farmers which means you guys should be getting a lot more for everything you grow vs 2017. I guess their math is a little faulty.

Smithfield, Tyson, Pilgrim’s, Not only these, but more are farms. When corporate farms have production facilities the cost of production after market price gets passed on to customers. “Farmers” is a relative term.
