Hello
I have 2018 1025r. I had used it a bunch in dusty conditions and needed to clean it out I pulled off the side panel and noticed an oil cap up front on the right hand side. What goes in there and how much if any.

Thanks
Mike

That is an oil fill cap for the engine oil. Some had a second cap in the rocker cover, either works to add engine oil.

Do you have the Operator's Manual for your 1025R? If not, you should get a copy. You can download and save a free copy at John Deere Ag and Turf bookstore You will need the tractor serial number as there are several choices by serial number range.

Thank you for your reply.
I could not find my manual and I found one to download. I saw the one on top. I was thinking, Oh man I hope I didn t miss something.

I have been looking into changing the oil , I m at 81 hrs. Some say 100 hrs and some say it changed to 200hrs. That seems high to me. They say if you change it early to use oil with zinc.

Any suggestions, the warranty is up soon so they might not be an issue.

Mike
