That is a really short silo..... wonder if it was a wooden one and fell away.

The lack of windows is interesting.
So ponder this. As you shingle the roof you can build top
to bottom by many methods, but to side a round
structure on would almost have to complete a lap with 1-
4 rows or you would be forced to tuck the leading edge at
some point. Thats a lot of trips around that barn.

I live about 40 miles from that barn. In the early 80's about 3/4ths of the roof was caved in. When they redid it they opened it to events and a tourist stop about 40 feet from the mother road (US66).
