I have a Massey 65 that runs smoothly until the oil pressure suddenly drops causing it to start knocking. Then the oil pressure comes back up, and it was running smooth again, then it dropped again and it started grinding really loud, almost like a metal on metal grinding sound. Anybody experience this or have any idea what it the problem could be? Thanks in advance!

I would agree that it is probably a spun bearing and don't run it until you fix it.

If the oil pressure is dropping to near zero, the spun bearing it not the cause but the effect of no oil pressure. Besides fixing the spun bearing and damage, you need to determine the cause of no oil pressure. Check the oil pump gear, pressure relieve assembly and all piping connected to the oil pump.

I sure you checked the oil level, as low oil level can also cause this.
