I'm assuming you're talking flywheel horsepower not PTO...

I think you can get to 200 easily and it would be ok with adequate prep... Supposition of course. I don't have your experience. Here's a maybe helpful link:

Is it possible to get 200hp out of a roosamaster swapped 2150? And, will the Herc live at that power level?
High exhaust gas temps, and the small radiator keeping it cool are probably going to be your biggest problem, but otherwise it should live. The 2150 we have is probably around the 200hp range. Other issue may be the clutch slipping.

This thing already runs extremely warm. It will get up close to the red just driving down the road. It still has the Bosch pump on it but I am getting ready to swap it. I will have the radiator gone through while it is off and put on a better fan when reassembling

What pump is on it now, the PSJ? I'd switch it to the M100 like IH and late AC engines use.

Yeah, it still has the PSJ. The newer Whites used the RoosaMaster setup so that is what I switching to.

I am curious to know exactly what is needed to make the switch. My 2150 has always had pump issues. Not sure if it was a poor overhaul but it will not start. Have to pull it to start. Runs pretty good but it seems to lack power. I have a 2-135 White purchased for the sole purpose to update the engine on my 2150. Haven't started it yet but did find my parts book for the 2-135 to see what parts are used. Now to find my parts book on the 2150 to get a good handle on what needs to be changed out.

The PSJ has no parts available anymore. I've put the IH M100 on two 2150s in the past, one just last summer. A MUCH better choice than the DM4 pump would be, and NO front timing gears change needed at all with the M100 pump.

The PSJ and later M100 pumps turn CRANKSHAFT SPEED, the Stanadyne/Roosa DM pumps turn 1/2 crankshaft speed, so the timing gears and case need changed. The later AC 8000 series engines switched to the M100 pump similar to what IH used for years and got away from the DM pump the 7000 series used. The M100 is MUCH better than the old PSJ and the DM far as fuel delivery and cold starting go. On ANY rotary injection pump hard starting when HOT is a sign the hydraulic head is shot, TOO MUCH internal leakage at cranking speed. Pull starting spins the engine a bit faster so it will start.
