2240 hydraulic temps

Quick question for the forum. My 2240 has a provision to add a hydro cooler next the radiator but was not there when I bought it used. Last fall when baling, the transmission housing was very hot, hot enough you don't want to touch it. There were no issues and it did great baling. Since I'm new to this tractor, I am not sure what is normal for hydro temps. Any ideas?

Our 2240 has the cooler. It is an early S/N. But even with the cooler, if you work the tractor hard, you can feel the heat rising off the transmission housing.

Awesome thanks. It just surprised me how hot it was. I don't have a temp gun but will try to figure out an actual temp.
