It should bolt right in the only difference in the engine is the wd has a 4 in bore and a 4 in stroke. the d17 has a four in bore and a 4.5 in stroke but they are really the same otherwise.
 
You will need to hogg out wd front crank pully to accept longer crank stub on d-17 motor.
You will also have to use wd waterpump.Holes need to be drilled out next size bigger on pump to accept larger d-17 bolts.This way all original fan,gen.and belt fit on tractor.I have repowered a couple of wcs with combine motors.Motor has about twice the orig. horsepower.
