232 loader drifting down

Just started having an issue with my front loader on my Massey 240. The loader is a MF232. The bucket drifts down slowly while running. i did move some heavy logs this past winter with forks on it. Just wondering where I should start looking, was thinking something bypassing in the loader valve? Bucket tilt does not seem to be effected. thanks in advance for any help.

Terms. You say the bucket drifts down, but bucket tilt doesn't appear affected. To me the bucket drifting down is related to the bucket tilt circuit. I am thinking you mean the boom arms drift down, which would be the lift cylinder circuit.

That could be a failing packing in a lift cylinder(s) or a control valve issue. Try temporarily changing the hoses at the control valve so that the bucket tilt is operated by the lift valve and the lift is operated by the bucket valve. If the lift still settles it is likely the cylinder packings. If the lift holds and the bucket tilt drifts the problem is likely in the valve. Basically, if the problem stayed with the lift after the hose swap, it is a cylinder problem. If the problem moved to the bucket, it is a valve problem. Cylinder packings would be my first thought, if the problem just developed. Valve wear will generally be a slowly increasing condition. Just my thoughts, others may vary.

I am having the same problem. I ordered the cylinder seal kits to rebuild them but I can not get the cylinders apart. Where you able to resolve this ???
