I recently purchased a 2350 no loader and no reverser. Hyd seemed to be weak but useable. Now I dont have any hyd except for IPTO and brakes. I rebuilt rockshaft assembly new valve seals, new piston seal. Transmission pump is working. No hyd to steering,3 pt or SCV. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Any surprises or words of advice prior to replacing the seals on the rockshaft cylinder ? The rockshaft seals on my 1640 have gone from making an occasional moan to actually leaking .

front pump drive coupler is turning. Any other ideas? As far as advice or surprises just be careful when taking rockshaft assembly off it is
very heavy. I didn't have any problems once I had it off.

Yes pump shaft is turning. Thinking maybe pump is weak or bad. If I can find fittings I am going to check standby pressure.

Is there oil being pushed past the pump inlet and up to the oil cooler ?

Do you know if your tractor has old style with drag link or hydro-static power steering with hyd cylinder? Does your tractor have a destroking screw(key 1 or 40) on the top frt of hyd pump?

If tour tractors hyd pump has DS screw with engine running turn screw down several turns then back out. If any debris is keeping stroke control valve from seating this might dislodge debris

Tractor has hydro-static power steering. I tried turning destroking screw with no results. I looked into rockshaft fill opening and could see fluid flowing on right side of housing. small amount when idleing larger amount when running faster. Is there something I could have missed when I had rockshaft off for repairs. Could it possibly be SCV control valve is in need of repair.Flow is in that area. Thanks to all for your ideas.

Yes scv could be the problem if it's return line is attached to RH side of rockshaft housing. I suggest to check temp of hyd components with a laser thermometer after getting engine to operating temp. I've had no experience diagnosing hydro-static steering problems but laser thermometer should detect a problem if present

Thanks Tx Jim. I won't be able to work on tractor for a few days but will report back when I can. Thanks again, your help is greatly appreciated.
