236 Loader brackets

I've got a 165, and a 236 loader, without the brackets. I'm looking in the parts book on Agco, and talked to the local parts dealer, and the books don't show mounting kits for a 165, though I know I've seen the 236 on 100 series tractors, and web image searches turn up brackets that look like this picture in partsbook that I've attached. The parts guy couldn't answer why the 150/165/175... series wasn't listed (although 135 was listed. I doubt there's any buying brackets, but I just want to make sure I know the interchange on which model tractors these brackets interchange if I'm going to start calling or going to salvage places to see if I can locate the brackets. I think I could make the front two, but that an original functioning belly bracket looks to be a little challenge without having one to copy.

Looking for advice on the interchange and parts book listing, or brackets for the 165.

On a short search, the 184 is the only 100 Series this loader was attached to. Looks like it was designed and used on the 200 series Masseys.

Yeah, but on this forum there are many threads of people indicating they have a 100 series with this loader. And if you Google 165 massey 236 loader, you'll find tons of images of 236 loaders on 165 and 175s. And while it's been a few years, I've seen it in person, with brackets like in the drawing from the parts book. Thats why I'm asking....real life and the book doesn't match.

Looking over these pics, and some others, why wouldn't the belly mount be just about the same? It looks like the critical structure, where the loader frame itself fits into the bracket wouldn't change. It sure wouldn't take much to adjust (cut and weld) where the side plates of the belly mount attach to the tractor, and MAYBE have to redrill the bottom bolt holes. I'm guessing it wouldn't take much, IF the tractor will fit inside the loader frame. Then there's the mid-mounts, that may, or may not line up on the 165. But those look like a pretty straight forward fabrication if need be. steve

Thanks Steve, that's kind of what I'm thinking. It looks identical, and it makes me wonder the 100 series is not listed or what the difference might be.

Finding a set would be awesome. It looks like a nice quick attach loader with the proper brackets.

I have a 236 on a MF175. The manual lists the same mounting brackets for the 165, 175, 255, 265, and 275. The manual also shows the parts pics to be the same with the same mounting instructions.

Farmer Jones, thanks for confirming this. I don't have the ops manual.

I called several salvage places today and confirmed my suspicions. No brackets around without the loader too.

I can make them. Might need to see if I can find one to take some measurements of. I don't suppose there's anyplace with drawings online is there?

I can't say for 100% sure there aren't drawings online, however it would be highly unusual for a manufacturer to put proprietary drawings of their product online.

100% agree. I've seen some old threads of others talking of making these same brackets, and didn't know if there might be project files somewhere or even sketches with dimensions for things people have fabricated or copied. I haven't seen a place like that for old tractor stuff, but have for other things like electronics, old motorcycles and cars, etc...

Galen, there is a loader and brackets in Big Iron Auctions, that has a bunch of good pictures. It would be a place to start, if you have the loader for reference dimensions. steve
