2404 rear end compatibility

Hey guys, I'm looking at a decent 2404 that a friend has for sale. It has a broken rear end housing that isn't repairable. I'm wondering if anyone would know what, if any other IH rear ends would fit on that tractor? I know where there is a 2414 or 2424, but it's a good distance away and I can't easily compare the 2 tractors to see if it would work for me or if that tractor has a completely different rear end. Not having much luck finding a 2404 or 404 Utility anywhere around me. Thank you for any information!

I've got a 424 rear housing if you can determine whether it will work.

Per parts book it looks like 2404, IH/Farmall 404 are the interchangeable housings.
The PN for the housing has been removed from the CNHI parts catalog. Messicks parts book used to show compatible fitment, not sure how to drill down to it on their latest version if you even can. So had to use avspare.

2414, 2424, and derivatives are completely different from the 2404. They are British utility tractors built in Bradford (as opposed to Doncaster). The 2404 is a US design, based off the Farmall C. Probably the most common and most closely related tractor that can be used for parts is the 240 Utility. Very few 404's were made.
