2424 and 424 hydraulic lift question

I have a 2424. The hydraulic lift housing is not vented anywhere that I can find. Is that correct? It seems like it should be vented. The filler plug in the parts book is shown as a regular pipe plug. Thanks in advance.

If systems are pressure up and down on the lift, the displacement of fluid from the reservoir is minimal. This means the cylinder gives back as much as it produces. If
the cylinder is internal to the housing the issue goes away as the displaced fluid is in the same housing. Jim

No vent on my 424 unless you count the
leaky draft plunger which I have been
dreading and putting off repairing. In a
way it does seem odd but it's a stand
alone system with continuous flow and it
seems to work fine.
