245 Fuel lines

Hello all!

I'm currently working on our 245 and having to remove the injection pump again since its still leaking and having a shop rebuild it this time. I have the Perkins Diesel and while trying to remove the fuel lines I found one that is extremely stuck. If it breaks I am going to replace all the lines since they are all kind of crusty. But I can't find any of the proper lines anywhere. Does anyone know where I can get them? Or will I need to get them custom made?

Are you searching for them by the part numbers? Have you talked to a Massey Ferguson dealer parts person? PartsASAP, YT's parent company may have used ones. You would need to call one of their salvage yards, as many of the used parts are not listed online.

I have looked up the part numbers without any luck so far. And unfortunately we don't have any agco or massey part dealerships dealers anywhere near us. Not within a reasonable driving distance that is. But I didn't know about the PartsASAP, YT used parts. I will have to look into that.

If you don't have any luck with PartsASAP, try Nolt's, He has used MF parts.

Part numbers are in "Agco Parts Books" Would need to have the part number of the lines you need to find them new. Wayne

I have ordered many parts from AgCo parts books shipped through lang diesel in Kansas. You can pick any dealer. Most drop ship from a AgCO warehouse.

One of my fuel lines broke and the AgCo part was almost $200 so I went to a hydraulic shop, the kind that makes steel hydraulic lines not hoses. They made me one and sold me the ferrules. Or you can have it flared or flare it yourself and use o ring bushings from AGCO that are cheap. I ended up not flaring one end and just put an oring/bushing on and tightened it down until it wouldn't leak. The other end accepted the ferrule and didn't leak. Hope this helps....just remember nothing on this tractor is rocket science and if you have some mechanical ability you can do it.

Don't count on ANY O ring fitting lasting very long on ANY injection line, they are steel for a reason...

It was my fuel line from the filter to the fuel pump. There is no steel ring or a need for one on this line.

The inlet/return lines I make out of 1/4 or 5/16 brake line from the auto store. The original flared end is not needed if the line nut is snug against the rubber line sleeves I use.
