245 massey steering

I have checked the front end of my 245 and everything seems tight but there still some free travel in the steering. what else should i check?

Have you adjusted steering box? Right side there is adjustment, loosen nut and turn bolt until slack is out, tighten nut. Don't overtighten.

Check both hydraulic cylinder ends, they seem to wear out faster than the tie rod ends or at least mine have. Never seen a steering box on a 245 but then I haven't every 245 ever made either. I have a '78 and a '79.
