I have a question about the big 4wd Case tractors 2470,2670, and 4490. There are some for sale with 4 Remotes. Can the remotes be held open so the tractor could be used with a big baler Ie Hesston 4900/4910? I am looking to buy a 4wd Case that can handle the hydraulic demand of a big baler and theese tractors seem like real cheap HP. Any comments would be appreicated.

well i have a 4490 for $7000 if you would be interested in that and i have a 2470 for parts. i just put 5g into the motor. it has front duals. runs real good. i have mine on a liquid manure pump. has pto and 3pt. you can let me know if your interested in that. that is the cheapest 1 ive ever seen, especially with a rebuilt motor.

not sure but i have seen them on balers before but those tractors arnt to many here. i used mine for pushing corn and silage but i sold the blade off it about 2 weeks ago but ive also used it for disking before.

A 2390 or a 2590 works well on a 4900 baler. I would not reccommend a 4 wheel drive. Too much trouble getting in and out. Do Not under circumstance tie the remotes open on a 90 series tractor. It will ruin the pump.I have run those balers for years.

How to you provide hydraulic power to the baler and accumulator?

Your supply of oil will depend on how the baler is set up. OC or CC and what tractor you are using. Give me a call 308 874 4562
