2510 hydraulic problem

So I recently brought home a 2510 that I thought was a diamond in the rough. When I got her home and got her running I found a hydraulic problem I can"t solve. So I have changed the hydraulic filter and cleaned out the sump screen, refilled with new oil. When it is running at an idle the three point will lift slowly and sometimes jerk, and same with an scv outlet. Power steering seems to work fine. If I rev throttle up, three point and scv seem to quit all together while power steering still works. Once in a while it seems the front pump will chatter a bit, but it comes and goes. I have taken the oil filter relief valve out and it looks good, and moves in and out of the housing. Same with the priority valve up on top by the steering wheel. I have also taken out the stroke valve in the front pump and inspected and it looks fine to. I don"t know what I am missing or what my problem might be. I checked flow on the transmission pump and it seems to be sufficient. My thinking is I need to rebuild front pressure pump or replace. Any other thoughts or ideas from those who might have been down this road before?

So I forgot to mention that this is a synchro tractor. I also did put a pressure gauge on the scv and it would top out at 2300 psi, but was always fluctuating and never held it constant, and when the tractor was throttled up it would drop.

I do not have the answer to your problem but will say do not spend money on the hyd pump if it is the little 4 piston one. I had some problems with mine years ago and changed it to the 8 piston pump used in the 3020-4020 tractors. Deere dealer told me some of the 4 piston pumps were trouble when the tractors were new and said they just changed them over.Tom

1st thing you need to check is stand-by pressure which should be 2250 psi. My guess is stand-by pressure is low or pressure control valve under hood near firewall is blocking flow. You could remove spool(key 9) & reconnect to determine if 3 pt & scv will operate correctly

So pressure with valve in jumped from 1500-2500lbs. Would
not stay constant. Took the priority valve out and pressure ran
at a constant 1500llbs. With the valve out 3 point worked
smoothly as well as the other outlet. Everything seemed to
work as it should other than the lower pressure. What does
this mean?

I suggest to attempt to raise stand-by pressure by loosening jam nut & screw adjustment screw in under the bottom of frt hyd pump to attain 2250 psi. Then reinstall pressure control valve spool & check pressure again. If pressure is low or fluctuating then spool & housing are faulty.

Weak pump and/or a high pressure leak back to the transmission sump .
Original was a four piston 2000 series pump according to page 20 of CTM7.
8 piston 2000 series pumps can be had in 23.3 , 30.2 or 39.5gpm at 2300rpm .
May as well go big .
