2510 overhaul

I have a 2510 that needs a overhaul it has a block casting number T26933. According to on line John Deere parts the 2520 also used that same number block. Can I put in the pistons and liners for a 2520 for the block number T26933 in my 2510? Has anybody done this?

My serial number isM53RA1091525T M stands for engine, 5 for four cylinder, 3 for diesel, R for tractor works, A for row crop, 1091525T, T for tractor, block casting number T26933. 2510 and 2520 parts books give the same information. What size engine do I have?
Anyone that owns a 2520, please go look at the engine serail number plate. I think your 219-diesel engine will show as TO4219Dxxxxxxx.
My guess is that a 2520 GAS will show a M53RA as the 2520 used a 202-gas engine.

M53RA M= Engine 5= Engine Model (4 cylinder, 202) 3= Fuel Type (Diesel), R= Factory (Waterloo) A= Engine Application (structural block)

M4 = 3 cylinder, 152
M3 = 3 cylinder, 135
I could be off with the above engine designations.

Anyone with a 2510 gas? Check your serial number, what are the first 5 letters / numbers?
Anyone with a 1020 gas or diesel? Check your serial number, what are the first 5 letters / numbers?
