Is there a way to identify by serial# or production date when, or if our tractor has the 8 cylinder hydraulic pump? Ours is mid-13's which should put toward the end of '67.

Real easy to tell by looking underneath if tractor has a nerrow front end. Only four plugs around the outside of pump body and you will be able to see two of them. The other has eight plugs around the outside that you will be able to see four of them. The four piston pump has a cast lump between the plugs where the extra plug would be if it was an eight piston. I'll add to what WTW stated that I think all 2510's had 4 piston pumps from the factory IE no serial number breaks. Only way it would have an 8 piston pump is by replacement

Do not replace your pump untill you have a problem. It may work ok.But do not spend money on a small pump get the larger 8 piston when repair or replacement time comes around.Watch E-bay as they do show up there.
