2520 Oil Pressure

I bought a 2520 with 1650 original hours on it. Its been sitting outside and only started every few years. I started it up the other day and everything seemed fine until I noticed it had 0 oil pressure on the gauge. I shut it down immediately. The original owner had used it around the yard recently without a problem so I am thinking the gauge is stuck on zero. Any suggestions on where I can get another read on oil pressure?

Since the tractor did not originally come with an oil pressure gauge, any chance it is not attached to the oil gallery? Line could be disconnected, clogged, or the gauge is bad. Find where the gauge was plumbed in and try a different gauge, pressure should be in the 50# range running at high idle with the engine warmed up. Post back with your findings.

The sender is in the right rear of the engine, unscrew it and put a gauge in that port, it is 1/8" pipe thread, you can use a grease gun hose and a gauge from an Auto parts store to test it.
