2520 Pump Alignment

I have a 1970 2520 with a 148 loader and the hydraulic pump is misaligned to the crankshaft.

It seems about .020 out by eye with a straight edge. It is angled up like there is a pivot point somewhere toward the middle or front of the engine and it is bent up. I went to shim the pump frame to motor connection last night when I found some of the frame bolts are behind the loader frame. Loader is coming off tonight. replaced the bushings after I got it and the input adapter thats clamped to the splined input shaft on the pump broke once and took out my radiator.

Could the loader have bent the tractor frame and the whole thing is taking a dip at the motor? Any advice on a fix? Seems like shimming the pump frame to engine is half baked, but maybe thats the fix?

.020" does not sound like much to worry about to me. Something seems odd since the plastic drive-bushings should be able to handle that
small amount of mis-alignment. Now if you said 1/8" to 1/4" out - I would see the problem.

How long do the bushings typically last? I have replaced them twice in 5 years. I don't farm. I just use it around my land for odd jobs so use it for a few weeks then sits for a few months.

Tractor frame could be bent but the pump frame is mounted to
engine isn't it? I have seen 4020 frames bent quite a bit w/o
affecting the pump.
I doubt you can see .020 the way you are trying to measure it.
If the pump frame is sprung replace it don't try shimming.

Thanks guys. I took the loader off tonight. Likely saturday I will get the loader frame off so I can see whats going on. I appreciate the help.

I did the 4020 back around 1992 ? Never touched them after that. In all that time may of only put 600 or 700 hours on it total.

The bolts between the pump frame and the engine were loose. Im gonna go get new.

Anyone know the torque?
5/8 grade 8 or A7F

Whn I jacked under the oil pan, I could watch he pump frafloat up and down along the fac of the engine. The pump came ino alignment with some weight off the front wheels. all frame rails to engine and frame to pump frame were tight. The frame rails are straight.

Anyone seen the dowels between the pump frame and the engine wallered out?

I'd rather just throw new bolts in and torque them rather than pull the pump frame and look, but if its common I gotta do it.
