Is there any way to get the injector lines to quit leaking on the Stanadyne pump on my '69 JD 2520? How tight do you dare tighten them or maybe a different washer? Making a mess - any ideas would be appreciated.

C or DB pump? Just curious, washers are the same with either.

Don't crank too tight, it won't help. Put in new steel line washers (they're cheap). New washers will usually fix the problem. If that doesn't work, it means you've got a scratch on a line-face, or the pump. Buy copper washers instead. You can get them from Deere, if that's the easiest. They were used OEM on several tractor models.

remember, I believe its like a 4010 2 washers per banjo fitting one on each side of line. 8 washers for 4 cylinder engine, 12 for 6 cylinder.

I have had good luck when installing the washers , just snug the up enough so you can start the tractor, and than loosen each one off and let the fuel wash them clean, after a second or 2 you can tighten them and 99% of the time the leak is gone
