2520 Radiator Leak

I smell anti-freeze when it is running. It appears to be a pin hole leak. Would I be better off trying to get the radiator repaired or buy new?

1970 2520 gas.

take it to a radiator shop have them look at it. the replacement aftermarket radiators are made in china. and are not built as well as the oem

If it needs replaced spend your money and have the original re-cored by a good radiator shop and you will have a much much better radiator than any of the aftermarket replacement junk that anybody and everybody will want to sell you. I have seen way to many of these poor quality replacement radiators. You couldn't give me one anymore. A new Deere might be twice as high but 10 times the quality. Don't let the Deere dealer sell you an A&I replacement radiator either as they also are aftermarket junk. If they can't get you a original John Deere have your old one recored. Even if the re-core cost more than the aftermarket junk you will be happier because the original will fit in tractor like it supposed to.

If it is a small hole have a shop check it out. Warning alot of shops will use to much pressure to check a radiator and will tell you it was rotten or full of holes. We have four A&I replacement radiators in tractors we use on the farm and have sold a dozen more. The A&I's are made in Ireland. No replacement will be as good as the original but for the price we like A&I.
