256 vs 268 engine head

I have a 6610 and it has the 268 natural motor. The head is cracked according to machine shop. I got a 268 turbo motor with i think a good head and i know someone with a good 256 head. I dont have any leads on a 268 na head. Will the turbo head work without causing issues i know valve angles are different. Or will a 256 na head work also. And which one would be better

Between 85-87 (no sure of exact year) Ford switched from 1/2” head bolts to 9/16” on all engines, you need to know which ones you have.
Ford also changed the intake port design let least 3-4 times from 1965-2000 so I know the 65-75 rectangular port head won’t match you intake manifold
The primary difference between turbo and NA head is turbo head has harder exhaust valves but otherwise the same
You can use a 9/16 bolt head on a 1/2” bolt block but the bolt holes on a 1/2” bolt head would have to be enlarged to except 9/16 bolts

If i find a head with square intake holes can i just the square intake that matches the head

On some years or models the air cleaner hose inlet angle is different or on the opposite end of the intake, just make sure that part is correct for your tractor
Also check the hose inlet size as that changed as well
