2590 front axle

Just picked up a Case 2590. I have heard that you could turn the front axle around and extend the wheel base. This tractor has the long wheel base but looks all factory. Anyone have any knowledge if this was a factory option. I have not pulled a build sheet yet.

There was a factory extended wheelbase option although I've never seen one in person, only seen pictures of a couple.

I saw a 2590 with the tie rods out front like a 830 etc. I thought someone flipped the axle around.

We have a 2590 with the factory extended weelbase. It"s one of the best riding tractors I have ever drove.

Tie rods are in back, steering hoses have short extensions. Looks like it would take two country miles to turn around. I will try to get some photos.

The 2390/2590's had a factory option of wheel base. We have two 2390's with the short wheel base and a 2590 with the long and the 2590 turns much better and rides a bit softer. You can flip the axles around and do some changes to make a short wheelbase a long one if you want.
